A professional working artist since 1968, Don Prechtel is also a historian and an avid collector of antique western and military accoutrements. His studio is filled with a large library and a fine collection of artifacts, which he incorporates into his paintings.
Many of the paintings have been reproduced on book jackets, magazine covers and illustrations in historical and scholastic publications.
His goal is to use his God-given talent to inspire others to pursue their calling as artists.
His paintings are in private collections, museums and military installations throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.
