Growing up in the small town of Hughson, in the heart of California's Central Valley, Nick was surrounded by orchards and farmland that seemed as endless of the skies above them. A landscape conducive to daydreaming and adventure, the arts found their way into Brown's life at an early age. And it was his grandma, a self-taught oil painter, who babysat Nick, his brother, and sister growing up, who was the spark for his passion to create art.

With a great love for sports, as well as painting, Nick was highly involved in athletics growing up. And after high school he continued his career in sports playing football at Modesto Junior College. After two years at MJC, Brown transferred to the University of Redlands, where he would continue to play football, and majored in the Fine Art with a drawing and painting emphasis. It was while attending Redlands that he was first introduced to the expressive powers of painting. As his football-playing days would eventually come to an end after Redlands, a new passion for creating art was born, and Nick's journey as an artist had begun.

Since graduating in 2006, in addition to his oil paintings, Brown has worked as a graphic designer, entrepreneur, muralist, sculptor, carpenter, and restorer of fine art. He has been exposed to a colorful palette of art forms and artists while working for Tony Sheets as an in-house artist and carpenter for the Millard Sheets Gallery in Pomona the past 8 years. Brown has shown his oil paintings on canvas and panel in both Central and Southern California galleries. And most recently, he was commissioned to create 14 pieces for Levis Stadium, the home of the San Francisco 49ers. Nick intends to keep pushing his limits and challenging his skills, pulling inspiration from the people and places around him.
