Celebrating 100 years of life 2008 Milford Zornes N.A.
Sku :
Here at SQUARE i GALLERY, we are remembering Milford Zornes as a legend. He was determined to be an artist from a young age, and he never looked back. When Zornes was seven years old, his teacher asked the class to stand up and say what they wanted to be when they grew up. When it was his turn, Zornes stood up and said he was going to travel all over the world and paint pictures. The amazing thing is that Zornes did exactly what he said he would. He eventually became recognized as a leader in the California Style watercolor movement and taught painting workshops in China, Alaska, Mexico, Ireland, Italy, Spain, and many other locations.

It's rare to find an artist that starts making and selling art from an early age and he didn't stop, to the end. Zornes had a discipline that few artists can claim. Because of his dedication, he had made a living from his art, and his works get better over time! His paintings, which are represented in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the White House, and the Library of Congress, are a valuable part of America's artistic tradition.
